How to play

Fill every cell with a full moon or a crescent so the board obeys three rules. Tap a cell to cycle it: full moon, crescent, empty. Locked cells are your starting clues. There are no timers and no penalties — take as long as you like.

• Each row and column must end with an equal number of full moons and crescents.
• Never place three of the same phase in a row or column.
• An = between two cells means they match; an × means they differ.
• Every puzzle has exactly one solution you can reason out — never a guess. Mistakes light up red.

Common questions

When does the daily puzzle change? A fresh Daily board arrives at local midnight, in your device’s own time zone. Finishing it grows your streak; Practice boards don’t affect the streak.

Is the same daily board on every device? Yes — the Daily is generated from the date, so everyone gets the identical board that day.

Does it work offline? Yes. Every puzzle is generated on your device, so Quiet Phases needs no connection and no account to play.

I want more puzzles. Practice offers endless fresh boards from Easy to Expert, generated on demand.

Larger text and reduced motion. Quiet Phases follows the system Dynamic Type and Reduce Motion settings. Turn them on in iOS Settings → Accessibility and the app adapts. An Accessible theme adds a clear symbol on every cell for colour-blind play.

I want to start over. Settings → Reset all data clears your stats, streak, and saved progress. This can’t be undone.

Replay the tutorial. Settings → Replay onboarding reopens the interactive walkthrough.
